- Thomas Gardiner of Elmley Castle (fl. 1440–1465): Receiver-general to Anne Beauchamp, Countess of Warwick (d. 1492), during her grandson George Neville's minority. Constable of Elmley and steward of Welsh marcher lordships (CR 162/201, appointment 1450). His 1458 quitclaim from cousin John of Exning (TNA C 1/27/345) seals the branch merger.
